Its a rare thing to see to woman in satin underwear.  This is precisely the reason why we want to make it our goal to do our part to bring satin back in style.  Its the best type of lingerie you can buy. The boring cotton panties that you can buy any and everywhere including Wal Mart (yuk!!) seem to be dominating the marketplace.

Ladies…. its time to think outside the box!  Its woefully apparent that lace is usually the preferred fabric of choice for every type of undergarment made these days, which we are not against I might add, but we promise you lace panties does not hold a candle to satin.

If you have not already you really need to feel the intoxicating comfort of wearing satin panties and camisoles under your normal  outerwear? You have probably heard misinformation up to this point about them but please do not knock it until you’ve tried it!

Unfortunately they no longer seem to be so readily available as they were a few years ago. More and more yucky cottons and lace fabrics have replaced true satin in the woman’s clothing marketplace. It seems to me the satin/silk fabric is starting to be phased out little by little.

Victoria’s Secret seems to be phasing a lot of it out and they used to have some of the best items available.  They are really heavy on  baby doll lace now. They seem to favor this “microfiber material” more that’s really soft, and not terribly bad, but not nearly as shiny or smooth as satin.  Maybe it had to do with the way  the whole economy is going.  I do not think that satin and silk are all that cheap to manufacture compared to the other fabrics and companies are looking to cut back.

Keep looking.  There are still some places out there.  We have outlined many stores that still sell or cater to satin lingerie and will continue to do so.  Forever 21 has some nice pink satin knickers that look fantastic.  Unfortunately most of their really nice items are lace besides the one just mentioned.

Having said that I thought it prudent to spend the day, as I do from time to time, finding some quality satin panties that you can buy either online or at the store.  I crossed paths with a brand called Hanro who makes woman’s underwear that are usually sold at Neiman Marcus.  There is an excellent selection of satin briefs available in various styles here including bikini cut panties, high cut briefs, hipster briefs, and boy shorts.  I was very impressed by what they had to offer.  They had some excellent pink and white high cut briefs that were most sexy!  They have tons of black satin underwear here for you to try and they look wonderful. All in all it was great. 10/10 There is nothing like satin if you want the elegant and sexy look combined.  Lace and silk comes close but it is not the same.  And the feel of the fabric in fantastic.

These panties are shiny and the allure of them are obvious as soon as you touch them.  Being in the bedroom wearing satin panties is absolutely a confidence booster for you and your lover as you see him turned on completely by the way your body looks and he is turned on by you wearing them!

There are several different types these panties than you can find.  There are several styles which include the : 1) high bikini panty cut 2) hi cut brief style 3) satin hipster “french” knickers 4) boyshorts or boxer style 5) g-string and finally the  6) v-thongs.  All these styles are vastly different and fit different moods, body shapes, and occasions but the one common thread here is that they all types of panties that look absolutely fabulous when made from satin fabric.

One thing to note and I want to be clear about this.  Not all satin fabric is made equally.  With these types of panties you will certainly get what you pay for.  I have seen some cheap sites out there that sell cheap lingerie and it feels like cardboard.  Another mark of good quality “satin” is the stretch factor.  The good ones stretch and contour themselves to the shape of your body.  This is important.  Make sure whatever website you purchase your satin panties from has a return policy that will not make returning your items next to impossible.

And again a drawback in wearing satin underwear is your skin’s breath ability.  Unlike when you wear cotton underwear the fabric in satin is more compact and dense (though lighter in weight) and your skin can and may have a hard time “breathing.” This could lead to irritation of the skin underneath the material.  You can wear these panties most days but it is always advisable to wear something else every couple days to make sure this does not happen.

I also want to say that finding satin panties are not as easy at it once was.  In the late 90s and early part of this decade this type of lingerie was “in style.”  Not to say that they are not now but it seems as though lace has taken hold of a lot of the real satin lingerie market.  There are websites specifically designed to sell satin underwear you just have to find out where they are.  Once you find them you will be amazed by how this type of clothing looks on your body.  Take a look at some previous posts I have made about several different types of satin panties and which kind will work best for you.

I have not made a lot of posts on this topic but I have come to find several websites that specialize in satin panties for plus size woman.  I have found them to be fantastic.  I really do believe that this is one of the best types of underwear you can buy if you are a “full figured woman” as some might say.  Like I said these types of panties are made to stretch.

And because it does the fabric can mold itself to your particular body shape.  If you are a bigger woman you know that this is important.  I have seen some plus sized woman who looked really good wearing black or green satin panties.  Quite frankly I would stay away from white, red, and pink for plus sized lingerie and any of the other lighter colors.  They do not contrast well.  Plus sized satin lingerie looks its best when made from darker colors.  Just some helpful advice.
