Its a rare thing to see to woman in satin underwear.  This is precisely the reason why we want to make it our goal to do our part to bring satin back in style.  Its the best type of lingerie you can buy. The boring cotton panties that you can buy any and everywhere including Wal Mart (yuk!!) seem to be dominating the marketplace.

Ladies…. its time to think outside the box!  Its woefully apparent that lace is usually the preferred fabric of choice for every type of undergarment made these days, which we are not against I might add, but we promise you lace panties does not hold a candle to satin.

If you have not already you really need to feel the intoxicating comfort of wearing satin panties and camisoles under your normal  outerwear? You have probably heard misinformation up to this point about them but please do not knock it until you’ve tried it!

Unfortunately they no longer seem to be so readily available as they were a few years ago. More and more yucky cottons and lace fabrics have replaced true satin in the woman’s clothing marketplace. It seems to me the satin/silk fabric is starting to be phased out little by little.

Victoria’s Secret seems to be phasing a lot of it out and they used to have some of the best items available.  They are really heavy on  baby doll lace now. They seem to favor this “microfiber material” more that’s really soft, and not terribly bad, but not nearly as shiny or smooth as satin.  Maybe it had to do with the way  the whole economy is going.  I do not think that satin and silk are all that cheap to manufacture compared to the other fabrics and companies are looking to cut back.

Keep looking.  There are still some places out there.  We have outlined many stores that still sell or cater to satin lingerie and will continue to do so.  Forever 21 has some nice pink satin knickers that look fantastic.  Unfortunately most of their really nice items are lace besides the one just mentioned.

Spanx Panties

There is a secret to looking 10 pounds skinnier in a hurry.  There are times when you are about to go to a special occasion and you might not be as “in shape” as you would like.  You’ve put on weight and it will be obvious but …you don’t want anyone to know just HOW MUCH weight you have put on.

Have no fear.  Follow these two simple tips and you will be off the hook.  At least momentarily.

First, go tanning.  Tanned people always look more thin.   Don’t ask me why they just do.  Go to a Hex Tan and stay in there for ten to fifteen minutes.  Do this at least every other day before your event.

Second, they are called waist shaper panties, panty shapers, body shaper,  but they are most commonly referred to as SPANX.  They are a very modern version of the corset, and trust me, SPANX has helped more woman around the country appear 10 pounds lighter than people think.  You can find them at Victoria Secret, Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, or many places online. The camis are fantastic for love handles or uneven tummy’s. They even make SPANX in shorts if you need to make your legs seem thinner. These products are great and has helped many people get through important events they HAD to look good in.  If you are more than a little overweight then the results won’t be as good, but if you have just picked up a few pounds then these items can be a life saver.

Full Body Spanx Panties

One friend I knew bought a complete body set for her wedding last fall and she looked amazing. The Lycra content is what will hold you in so well.

On a side note Victoria’s Secret makes one to fit under a swimsuit as well.  You can also purchase SPANX panty hose, but one drawback, like most pantyhose, they are very easy to tear and are pricey.

After then event I recommend going to the gym and getting yourself back in shape.  But in this hectic world there will always be times when we let our self go a little bit and need a little extra help in hiding it for a while.
